Frequently Asked Questions
Honeymoon Questions
You've popped the BIG question, now I know you have more questions. That is why I have collated some of my frequently asked questions from my honeymoon couples.
How long does it take to plan a honeymoon?
We’ll first set up an initial call to get to know you both, your interests and how you like to travel, as well as discussing ideas in your chosen destination. From here we’ll curate a tailor-made itinerary and send it over within 72 hours. You can then fine-tune your trip as much as you’d like before confirming when it’s all perfect.
What happens after I book?
I will confirm everything with our local suppliers and start organising your trip. As you get closer to the departure date and you’ve made your final payment, I'll send through your final travel documents and will be available for any last minute questions.
Can I book extra services after the original booking has been made?
Of course! Anything you might decide to add on after your booking has been made I am more than happy to look into and book for you.
If you are wanting to book a surprise candlelit dinner or sunrise hot air balloon ride for example I can leave this off the finalised itinerary too, so you can give your partner an incredible honeymoon surprise.
Im not sure when to change my name. Will it affect my honeymoon?
For the hotels it will be absolutely fine. However, for your flight your name should be as per your passport. If you were to book your flight six months prior, it might be better to wait until you are back from your honeymoon to change your name.
General Questions
Whether you regularly use a Travel Agent to book your travel or this is your first time, some commonly asked questions are below.
Why use an Independent Travel Agent?
You have ABTA protection booking through us, which you wouldn't necessarily get with other popular booking sites. I am also only a phone call or message away if you have any questions (no waiting in a queue to get through to a call centre)
How do I know my holiday is secure?
We never accept cash or payments to PayPal or other personal accounts. All your bookings are paid via secure payment links. Your payments always go directly to the travel supplier (hotel, cruise line, airline, etc) or our head office InteleTravel. We are fully licensed, ABTA and ATOL protected, as are all our suppliers.
Can I pay in Installments?
In most cases, Yes. This largely depends on the amount of time you have before travel and whether or not you have selected a free cancellation pay later rate or a non-refundable pay now rate.

Ofcourse, my job is to make your travel as seamless as possible.
I can book things such as your airport lounges and car parking, transfers, car hire, excursions, tours, tickets and special occassion extras.
How much does it cost?
It doesn't cost you anything. You pay the built in commissions whether you book online or with another provider anyway. By booking through Treat Yourself Travels I can tailor your holiday to suit your specific needs and create a personalised experience.
How far in advance can I make a booking for my honeymoon?
We recommend booking your honeymoon 1-1.5 years in advance. Most flights are available around this time and hotels take their bookings from around 2 years. This also gives you plenty of time to save!
Do I need Travel Insurance
Please be aware that it is your responsibility to organise travel insurance for your trip. It is essential and a condition of booking with Treat Yourself Travels, that you take out a comprehensive travel insurance policy to cover you before, during and after your trip.
